Account executive
Charlie Payne joined Magenta as an Account Executive after completing an MA in Corporate Communications, Marketing and Public Relations at the University of Leeds. Prior to this, he spent three years at the University of Bristol studying BA History.
During his two degrees, Charlie developed strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills, often orientating his studies around the built environment.
In Bristol, he specialised in global cities, urban culture and cartography. In Leeds, he then focused his postgraduate dissertation on the ‘placemaking’ influence of Parkrun events, investigating their role in helping participants find a sense of place, community and belonging.
Outside of work, Charlie enjoys playing and watching football, running, cycling and going to the gym. He is also passionate about all things men’s mental health and masculinity, contributing towards ongoing societal conversations where possible.
