Young Leader of The Year 2019 launch at The Crystal

Emerging Workplace Leaders (formerly the Young Manager’s Forum) will officially launch the 2019 Young Leader of the Year (YLOTY) Award on 4th June at The Crystal in London’s Royal Victoria Docks.

Currently open for entries, the award invites organisations that want to celebrate the success of a young manager, or young managers themselves, to put forward a submission.

The facilities and workplace management industry relies on thousands of talented people to deliver essential services across the UK. This event, sponsored by Boden Resources, is an opportunity to celebrate the cream of the crop while launching the YLOTY Award in partnership with Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) magazine.

The launch event, which kicks off at 5:30pm on 4th June, will provide attendees with a great opportunity to network with peers. Previous winners will be on hand to talk about their experiences and guests will hear from Cathy Hayward, Magenta’s founder and managing director, on the importance of developing a personal brand.

Looking forward to her speaking slot, Hayward said: “In the world of work, cultivating your personal brand may prove just as valuable as building your business brand. But before you can start shouting about yourself to the world, you have to be sure about your own values and message. If these don’t align with your own brand, it simply won’t make sense to the wider market.”

The deadline for entries into the YLOTY 2019 is 15th July and the shortlist event will take place in October. The winner will be announced at the PFM Awards on 6th November 2019.
