  • Integrated Campaign for our PR, communications and SEO work with Business Moves Group
  • Best Use of Media Relations for our work with Freespace on data-driven workplace decisions

The 2022 CIPR PRide Awards South of England and Channel Islands ceremony takes place virtually on Thursday 13th October. Good luck to all the other worthy entrants!

Integrated Campaign

Business Moves Group (BMG) is an office relocation and workplace change specialist with offices across England and Scotland. We have supported BMG with PR and communications for several years. In January 2021, we added SEO into our work to help BMG improve its digital presence and attract more targeted organic traffic.

The research and planning stage included:

  • Keyword research to determine the services, locations and sectors that BMG wanted to reach
  • A content strategy for blogs, existing website content and PR campaigns
  • A website audit to check SEO factors such as internal links, page titles and image optimisation

Over the course of the year we produced regular blogs, created new location pages for the website, managed and optimised BMG’s five Google Business Profile pages, and secured article placements with targeted outlets.

As a result, the number of keywords that BMG ranks for more than tripled, all key website metrics improved, local visibility increased in all BMG markets, and engagement on BMG’s LinkedIn page never dropped below 5 per cent (2 per cent is generally considered to be a successful engagement rate).

Finally, by tracking organic traffic and website conversions, we can estimate that organic search is directly attributable to six inbound calls or emails each month.

Best Use of Media Relations

Freespace is a workplace technology solution that anonymously captures office space usage to reveal a detailed picture of office occupancy. The data gathered from Freespace sensors helps organisations understand how their spaces are being used, enabling them to make their workplaces fit for purpose in a post-Covid world.

Throughout 2021, Magenta initiated and managed data-sharing relationships with three tier one business media targets, with international reach and unmatchable reputations. We secured a consistent and regular flow of coverage across tier one print, online and broadcast media outlets. This included:

  • 7 articles in Bloomberg featuring Freespace data, graphs, and supporting quotes.
  • 2 in The Economist
  • 1 in Wired UK
  • 2 in the Daily Telegraph
  • 2 in the Daily Mail
  • 3 in The Times
  • 2 in the MailOnline
  • 2 in The Times (online)
  • 1 in This is Money
  • 4 in City A.M
  • x 10 in the Evening Standard

In December 2021, shortly after the Omicron variant hit UK shores, Freespace CEO, Raj Krishnamurthy, was interviewed live on Sky News’ Ian King Show. He discussed how the Omicron variant was impacting office occupancy levels in the UK and London and featured a Freespace branded graph on screen.

January 2022’s coverage alone amounted to a readership of over 1.7 billion.
