Jo joined Magenta in 2015 as senior account manager, responsible for designing and delivering communications strategies and PR services for clients. In 2017, she was promoted to account director, where she managed and developed a team that ran an international client portfolio.
Now, in her new role as associate director, Jo will continue to act as a strategic partner to clients while working with managing director Cathy to formulate Magenta’s business strategy, setting ever higher quality standards across the company. The role will involve identifying opportunities for organic and new business growth by developing and expanding current services. Jo will also head up Magenta’s in-house marketing team.
The new position affirms and congratulates Jo for her dedication to the team and to her clients while continuing to provide her with new opportunities to learn and develop – a key talent retention strategy at Magenta.
On the promotion, Jo said: “I’m really excited about the next chapter of my Magenta journey, and I’m ready for the challenge to help Cathy grow an even more successful business – one that’s full of engaged, happy and creative people who all work their very hardest to deliver ultimate value at every level. I’m lucky to work with a great bunch of people – colleagues, clients and journalists – and, as the M-People say, here’s to movin’ on up!”
Cathy added: “I’m thrilled that Jo’s now stepped up to associate director at Magenta. As well as leading her team of four, she’ll be working with me on the company’s strategic direction. Jo joined us less than three years ago as a senior account manager so it’s testament to her skills, knowledge, enthusiasm and brilliant attitude that she’s been promoted so quickly.”
