Magenta client SitexOrbis shortlisted for Construction Marketing Award

Vacant property management experts SitexOrbis has been shortlisted for the prestigious Construction Marketing Awards 2012 – for the third year running. The Construction Marketing Awards are universally recognised as a unique and highly-regarded measure of excellence in construction marketing and business development. Organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Construction Industry Group, there were a record number of entries this year. The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony at London’s Radisson Blu hotel on 6 December 2012.

SitexOrbis, a long-standing client of facilities management communications agency Magenta,  is shortlisted in the Best Use of Events and Live Marketing category primarily for its castle-themed stand at the Chartered Institute of Housing exhibition in Manchester in June 2011. The jubilee-themed stand attracted more than 700 visitors and raised more than £1,000 for Help the Heroes. The castle theme was apt because SitexOrbis offers property security, and the Royal Family theme was equally fitting because the exhibition took place between in mid June – shortly after the Diamond Jubilee. SitexOrbis promoted the stand with the concept ‘your home is your castle’.

SitexOrbis is up against stiff competition in the category from ceiling manufacturer Armstrong Ceilings, building and timber supplier the Howarth Timber Group, and NICEIC, the voluntary body for electrical installation in the UK

Last year SitexOrbis walked away with two trophies at the awards – one for the outright winner of the Best Product Launch for its videofied alarm solution and the highly commended trophy for The Best Campaign under £25k. In 2010 the company won the Best Product Launch category for eMAKS, an intelligent remotely programmeable key  – itself the winner of several awards.

“We are delighted to have once again been shortlisted in these prestigious awards” said SitexOrbis’ head of marketing Debansu Das. “It demonstrates the key role that marketing can play to drive an organisation forward despite the gloom in the housing and construction sector.”

Magenta MD Cathy Hayward added: “I’m proud of the long-standing work we do with SitexOrbis and delighted that their marketing expertise has been recognised by the award judges.”
