Magenta’s Jo Sutherland and Esme Banks Marr move up through the ranks

Two very well deserved promotions have taken place within the internal team at Magenta. Jo Sutherland has been promoted from senior account manager to account director, in line with the company’s growth and expansion into international markets. Jo has worked as a senior account manager at Magenta for over a year, and her promotion demonstrates Magenta’s policy of growing internal talent in a sustainable way.

Esme Banks Marr, who began her Magenta career as an account executive supporting MD Cathy Hayward, has been promoted to account manager. As the company has grown, Banks Marr has moved on to more senior positions.

The two promotions highlight Magenta’s commitment to promoting from within and offering professional development.

“I’m privileged to be part of the journey,” said Sutherland. “Joining the Magenta team – or, as I call them, the M People – has been one of the best career decisions I’ve ever made. I’m lucky to have such brilliant clients, as well as a super dreamy team. It’s been a great adventure so far and I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”

Commenting on her promotion, Banks Marr says “Magenta has developed remarkably since I first started working alongside Cathy in 2015. I too have grown with the company and I’m thrilled and excited to be able to take ownership of some of my favourite clients. I look forward to continuing to work with the team in this new capacity, as well as making and welcoming new contacts to the business.”

Absolutely Fabulous recreation

“It’s really exciting to see two such great PR professionals continue their journey with Magenta,” said Hayward. “Jo and Esme have both worked so hard over the past year, I’m delighted that they are now taking senior roles within the business.”
