Thomas Went promoted to acting account manager!

Having impressed both clients and colleagues as Magenta’s senior account executive, Thomas Went has been promoted to acting account manager.

He will be working closely with managing director, Cathy Hayward, and account director, Jo Sutherland, to manage the team’s accounts, with support from account executives, Gemma Norris and Oliver Tunmore, with design assistance from creative director, Mark Parry.

In his new role, Tom will actively manage the client base within one of the three teams at Magenta, designing and delivering communications strategies and PR services, and developing successful lasting relationships with clients and journalists. The promotion not only acknowledges his hard work so far, but also gives him the chance to take on a management role, while building on his knowledge and experience in the sector.

Of his promotion, Tom stated: “I’ve had the good fortune to work alongside some excellent colleagues, who have given me the opportunity to develop new skills in a very supportive environment. I’m looking forward to the challenge of taking on a leadership role, and gaining experience in account management.”

Managing director Cathy Hayward stated: “Since joining us, Tom has demonstrated fantastic interpersonal and editorial skills, preparing him for this next exciting step in his career. Writing and team-work are some of Tom’s strongest skills, and he is truly an asset to the team. We look forward to seeing him excel in this new role.”

Magenta prides itself on promoting from within and helping internal talent learn, develop, and ultimately, succeed. The team operates an open-minded, creative and encouraging working environment, and success stories like Tom, alongside many other internal-promotions in recent years, show the importance of looking after your team.
