How can we create more inclusive workplaces? We do good work for good businesses doing good things. As an employee-owned business, our purpose underpins everything we do – so we want this series to celebrate our work, celebrate inclusivity, and uplift the organisations we work with.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be showcasing some of the incredible campaigns Magenta has worked on, celebrating the best and brightest efforts towards organisational equality.
We are uploading these highlights regularly to our LinkedIn, so stay tuned on there or come back to this page to see all of our team member’s updates!
1. Greg Bortkiewicz
For our first celebrating inclusivity spotlight, senior account manager Greg Bortkiewicz reflects on BMG Group’s achievement at the Great British Businesswoman Awards, where MD Rachel Houghton continues to inspire as a mentor and advocate for women in facilities management.
The Great British Businesswoman Awards recognise the inspirational female role models, advocates, and mentors who lead businesses and continue to reach new heights.
Greg commented:
“Rachel Houghton has been a trailblazer in her sector for years, and it was an honour to support her award entry—and celebrate her well-deserved win. “By highlighting the achievements of successful female leaders like Rachel, we hope to encourage and inspire more women to seek out new opportunities, particularly in industries that have been traditionally male-dominated. This recognition is just one step towards a more inclusive and empowered future.”

2. Eve Dickie
For the next instalment of our equal workplace series, senior account executive Eve Dickie spoke about SBFM’s project – Evolve.
Eve commented:
“Our work with SBFM’s Evolve project aims to represent the disadvantaged people they work with and give them a platform to tell their stories. The project gives people from a range of disadvantaged groups sustainable employment opportunities, by working directly with SBFM’s clients.
It was a pleasure to interview different recruits and I found it very inspiring. We learned about what they have overcome and how SBFM has offered them opportunities that they didn’t think possible before. I can’t wait to see these opportunities blossom into long-term careers.”

3. Richard Huck
Lexington Catering’s Casual Dining Competition is a unique team event open to participants from all of Lexington’s client sites. Teams are challenged to create a new casual dining concept, complete with a menu, uniform, marketing, and mobilisation plans. The six finalists have their brands rolled out across the wider business, creating exciting opportunities for culinary innovation.
The competition is designed to recruit chefs from diverse backgrounds, providing a platform to showcase global cuisines and heritage. Now in its fourth year, the competition has seen a growing number of entrants each year.
Last year’s winner from Grenada presented bold, vibrant Grenadian flavours, and inspiring new culinary possibilities.
It’s a celebration of diverse cultures, creativity, and talent—one plate at a time.
Richard commented: “When we embrace diversity, we create a culture of innovation and unity.”

4. Sabrina Stubbs
We supported Lexington Catering’s media relations campaign announcing its partnership with social enterprise Fat Macy’s and the launch of a dedicated café space at one of Lexington’s client sites in central London.
Fat Macy’s is on a mission to help Londoners experiencing homelessness transition into independent living. Through their structured programme, trainees gain valuable culinary and hospitality skills from professional teams in real-world environments, such as Lexington’s client site cafés.
This initiative offers essential work experience and equips trainees with the skills they need to secure employment in the hospitality industry, giving them a pathway to build independent lives.
Sabrina commented: “It was a pleasure to work on this media relations campaign and not only share the good, but to also inspire other businesses to consider how they can make social impact. The collaboration between Fat Macy’s and Lexington is not just providing education and opportunities—it is changing lives.”

5. Shahlia Nelson-Rogers
We were really excited to work with one of our clients as it launched its new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy.
Working in a sector that lacks diversity and often fails to attract talent from diverse social, economic, gender and ethnic groups, it was incredibly rewarding to work with a forward thinking business that is truly changing the tone of conversations that are had inside and outside of the business.
Campaigns like this really make positive steps towards creating workplaces where people can be their authentic selves, where they have equality of opportunity, are treated equitably, and where anyone and everyone who wants to can thrive and progress.
