Magenta welcomes two new executives

I’m delighted to introduce two new M People! Anna Kiff and Bruno Artus have joined Magenta as executives on a part-time basis while they finish their studies, before becoming full-time this summer. They stood out during our recruitment day in January, which saw ten talented candidates (down from a long list of 40) pitch for a place in the business. Here’s Bruno & Anna introducing themselves…

Anna Kiff

Hi, I’m Anna!

I’m an undergraduate finalist at the University of Sussex studying Marketing and Management with Psychology. My working background so far includes plenty of part-time work in the hospitality industry, from high-end client serving to pulling pints at the local pub! I’ve also worked in digital marketing, having completed a summer internship at a firm where I learnt the ropes of social media, SEO research, copy writing, blog writing for various different clients, as well as attending business networking events.

I also have experience as a social media manager for a global company that provided businesses with products and services to improve air quality. My time at university has been extremely beneficial despite being apart of the graduate cohort that has been the most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. I have engaged with lots of different opportunities through my school, such as becoming a student ambassador and a course representative, as well as societies such as The Channel, which is a student-led art and media magazine where I have been in charge of team organisation and communication, as well as managing the art editors in the creative-process of making the magazine.

I’m from Portsmouth and I moved to Brighton for university in 2019. I enjoy seeing live music, which I am extremely excited to be going back to after plentiful Covid-19 delays. I also love to read, it is something I loved to do as a child that has stuck with me. However,I have moved on from teen-fiction to more crime, thriller and feminist literature. I am excited to begin my career here at Magenta and get stuck in!

Howdy, I’m Bruno!

I’m a French-Brazilian who grew up all over (China, Vietnam, Brazil, France). I’m finishing up a Marketing and Management degree at the University of Sussex in beautiful Brighton, where I’ve had the opportunity to cross paths with Magenta, who recognised my potential and took me on as an executive. Here is a quick tour of my psyche.

Moving around every couple of years taught me to adapt quickly, cherish opportunities for human connection and fulfil potential as it manifests itself. The brevity of my stays required me to make friends quickly, making engaging communication core to my being from a young age. As we all know, nothing builds up a skill quite like the absolute necessity for it.

I’m trilingual, speaking French, Portuguese and English. Interestingly, even after my nearly four years in the UK, I’ve maintained an American accent (having learnt the language from movies and media, a testament to American soft power).

I’m inherently curious about this life, a fascination which has led me to interests such as philosophy, art, music and sociology, but also more unorthodox pursuits like combat sports and fashion. I love people, I try and let that love to lead the way, this is something I’ve felt reciprocated at Magenta, which attracted me to them.

I want to be great at what I do. Marketing is about recognising, spreading and creating value; this came quite intuitively to me and led me to pursue it as a career. As a part of a placement year for my degree, I’ve had the opportunity to work at Carré Noir (Publicis Group’s Branding Agency) as well as Agro-industry giant Lesaffre’s central marketing team. This gave me experience on both the client and agency side of the business, and primed me to hit the ground running, which I plan on doing with Magenta.

Great to be here, talk soon!
