Magenta’s founder named deputy chair of IWFM Members’ Council

After more than nine years volunteering for the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), Magenta’s founder Cathy Hayward has been named deputy chair of the institute’s Members’ Council. Members’ Council exists to help direct, engage and ensure good communication with the institute’s Regions and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and to help form the IWFM’s research agenda.

Cathy will support Members’ Council chair Jason Cousins, who is director of facilities management at Lazard UK.

Cathy has volunteered for the institute since she set up Magenta in 2011, initially as an awards judge before joining the London region committee and then serving as deputy chair to Jason. She was made chairman of the region in May this year. Cathy has had a long association with the IWFM having launched FM World, now Facilitate magazine, in 2004 and editing the title for seven years before setting up Magenta.
